Where Are You Located? Do You Travel?

I’m currently nestled in the pines of Flagstaff, Arizona and love traveling. I’m available for travel in Arizona and beyond. A travel fee will be applied for sessions & weddings outside of the Flagstaff area and will vary depending on milage. Send me a message so we can discuss more!

Do You Require A Deposit? How Can I Reserve A Date?

If you would like to reserve a session date/time in advance, a 25% deposit (from the total amount) is required. This is very helpful especially during busy seasons.  An invoice receipt PDF will be sent back for your safe-keeping and the remaining balance will be due upon your session. Pretty simple!

What If I Need To Reschedule?

Your deposit may be transferred to a new date for your session if it’s available.

Do I Get To Choose My Session Location?

The location is up to you! Sessions take place on-location in natural, urban, or rustic settings. I have pre-saught out location recommendations in Flagstaff, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Prescott, and Phoenix/valley area. A travel fee will be applied to sessions outside of the Flagstaff area, prices will vary by milage and parking location.

When Is The Best Time For Fall Leaves? When Is The Best Time For Spring Flowers?

Spring cherry blossom flowers usually start to bloom in early/mid-April but vary depending on Flagstaff’s weather. The yellow wildflowers bloom bloom early through mid August and will fall at the end of August. Early/mid-October is the best time for fall photos and the leaves already start to drop near the end of October. If you are interested in specific seasonal please plan a session in advance especially during busy seasons to reserve a date/time (March-May and October-December).

What Time Do Sessions Begin?

Lighting is the most important element of a picture. I photograph in gorgeous natural light. Sessions take place during the most lovely times of the day; I recommend time slots of either mornings or in the late afternoon/early evening. Your session start time will depend on the season of the year. Feel free to ask which specific location has the best lighting, this helps quite a lot for planning pictures for the best time of day.

What Should I Wear & Bring?

You can see detailed info “What To Wear?” for outfit inspiration & tips for all sessions!

Do You Have A Cap & Gown To Provide Or Any Props?

If you would like pictures in your cap & gown or with any specific props you will need to make those arrangements by ordering the cap & gown on time or by asking a friend to borrow theirs, or purchasing the props would like to include ahead of time. Pinterest has some great ideas! Most buy props at our local Michael’s Craft Store.

Where Can I View More Of Your Portrait Images?

Check out the most recent sessions on the blog or the gallery!

How Will I Receive My Final Images?

Clients receive and can view their images using an online gallery systyem called Pixieset. Your edited digital images will be uploaded onto your own password protected online gallery about one week after your session date, in which I’ll email you the link. Your online gallery allows for easy access for ordering prints/canvses, downloading digital images, and sharing with friends & family. I take my time to fully edit and retouch your images for quality and never over edit to make anyone look fake, but I do edit unwanted blemishes.

How Long Can I Access The Online Gallery?

The online gallery is available for you to download your digital images and order prints for 60 days. If you are wanting to access your images again after 60 days, there is a $45 fee to create a new gallery and re-upload your images. The new gallery will stay active for 60 days.

How Long Will The Online Gallery Be Available?

Your online gallery gallery will be available for 60 days to download, view, and order prints/canvases. To re-upload and create a new gallery there is a $25 fee, or to extended for another 60 days.

How Many Edited Images Will I Receive?

The amount of images you receive depends on your session type. Check out the pricing to see how many.

How Do You Edit Your Images?

My editing style is natural with a pop of color and warm light, in which your edited images will look similar to the ones you see on my website which fit my style and brand. All my images are edited similarly in tone, contrast, and exposure. What you see on my website and social media is a clear representation and you will have a similar look. For example, lighting plays a huge part in pictures so if you reallyyy like the backlit “golden hour” sunset look, then that’s what we would plan for.

Can I Have Any Extra Unedited Images?

My photos represent my business brand and style, in which I only give and present my images that I have retouched and edited myself (free of unwanted blemishes and all the best of the best) and do not give any unedited images to clients.

What Is Your Turnaround Time For The Gallery Link?

You will receive the edited images once the full payment is received, typically 1-2 weeks after your session date with the link to the online gallery, for busy season 2 weeks. However, a couple days after your session I will post a few sneak peeks on my Facebook page and Instagram so you won’t have to wait as long!

Do You Have A Studio In Case Weather Is Bad?

I do not have a studio space since I’m a natural light photographer and use the fantastic locations local and within AZ. Since weather can be unpredictable, if we need to reschedule your session that isn’t a problem! As long as your new requested date/time is available to reschedule.

Can I Bring My Pet To My Session?

Yes! You can definitely bring your four-legged furry baby to your photoshoot free of charge! I love dogs and all animals, I even take photos of cats and horses too.

Are You Liability Insured?

Yes, I have general business liability insurance.

What Forms Of Payments Do You Accept? When Do I Pay?

Cash, check, money orders, PayPal, and Venmo are all accepted. Your remaining balance (after the deposit) must be paid in full on the day of your session, or prior to your session date. If the payment is not received upon the session, the images will not be released until the remaining payment is received.

Where Can I Read Your Testimonials?

Definitely, just click here!

Do I Get The Rights To Final Photos?

Upon meeting for your session, you will sign a model release form, releasing Julia Romano for usage rights. For an additional charge you may purchase a USB with your edited digital images with a Print Release to use for personal use. USBs are not included in any portrait session or wedding package (at this time). The Print Release allows you to print the photos wherever, share them with friends and post on social media. Julia Romano Photography retains copyrights and asks that you do no edit/alter these images in any way.

What Products Are Available? Where can I order prints?

High quality professional prints, canvases, and metal prints can be ordered directly within your online gallery in the Store section, it’s very simple! Custom photo albums and USBs can be ordered upon request at any time. The album design processed is a full service creation by Julia and proof is sent to you to review. Many cover options and additions are available for the albums. Please see the product page or contact for all pricing details. I do not recommend printing centers such as Costco, Target, Walgreens, etc. as they cut down on quality and can make coloring look faded or odd. If you choose to print somewhere other than the online gallery store, I would recommend online printing but am unassisted/unaffiliated with any online printing company and cannot give specific recommendations as I’m not up-to-date with what is out there on the internet. It is not my responsibility if you choose to have your photos printed elsewhere, and is out of my hands if the quality or coloring is not up to standards. Clients are given freedom to print anywhere for personal use, but it is out of hands once your online gallery link with the images has been provided to you.

What Is Your Album Design Process?

The album full design layout is created and finished by yours truly, and will be revised with you personally.
